Robert "Bob" H. Nagy, chairman of the board of The Spancrete Group, Inc., since 1986, passed away on June 6, 2004, at the age of 66. A graduate of St. John's Military Academy in Delafield, Wisconsin, he then graduated from Ripon College, Ripon, Wisconsin, and was commissioned a Lieutenant in the Armored Division.
He immediately joined the family firm. His commitment to Spancrete for nearly five decades has culminated in his legacy: the outstanding success enjoyed by Spancrete producers worldwide. His memberships included Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), Wisconsin Presidents' Organization and World Presidents' Organization.
Among his countless civic contributions, Bob orchestrated the raising of funds for the Canine Drug Unit in Waukesha County, Wisconsin.
An avid outdoorsman, Bob shared his love of boating, fishing and hunting with his family and friends. Semi-annual trips to fish in Canada, along with extended visits to Florida, were highlights of each year. He was devoted to his wife, their three children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his philanthropy throughout his home state of Wisconsin and by numerous relatives, friends and colleagues.
