Micheal Wraalstad

Michael Wraalstad worked at Spancrete for more than 25 years, most recently as the general manager of the company's trucking division, WBC Corp. He was a long time loyal employee that held a strong moral sense about him and took pride in everything he did. He was committed to making it safer on the roads and worked hard at developing the company's first fleet safety committee program. He valued the lives of the people on the road and of his drivers, who he called “Mike‘s drivers“. He truly cared for all of his drivers and men and watched out for them. He was always there giving them advice and including them in his life outside of Spancrete. Spancrete has had an outstanding record of safety on the road and Mike is directly responsible for that.

His life was his family. He loved and cared so much for his wife Karen of nearly 36 years, sons Brian and Christian and his daughter Kamara. In addition, he held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, Brady, Brandon, Jacob, Alexander and Kiara. Most recently, his granddaughter Mikayla was born and named in memory of him. He deeply cared for his mother and father and his siblings and his entire extended family. He would always put everyone first and go out of his way to help.

Mike was a loveable guy that always had a smile on his face. He was a social person that always found interest in people. He felt most at home when he was able to kick back and spend time with family and friends. He loved being up north at his cabin he was building in Mercer, WI. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family up there. He enjoyed restoring and painting cars and attending car shows with his sons. He also enjoyed istening to music , watching good movies, relaxing with friends and family in his back yard and cruising around Pretty Lake on his pontoon.
